We are checking in from Wroclaw, where we attended the 17th European Skeptics Congress and recorded a show sitting in a hotel room together.
You can listen to a couple of our short interviews recorded during this wonderful international event with Lesek, Deborah and Daniella. More to be released with upcoming episodes.
We also talk about the changes on the board of ECSO (European Council of Skeptical Organisations).
András is now on the road with Susan Gerbic, Mark Edward and Liubomir Baburov, networking across Europe with the “About Time Tour”.

00:10:04 Interview with Lesek from Poland
Andras asks Lesek about his experience of the hypnosis on stage and how he got affected by it. During the congress Jakub Kroulik performed the seance of mass hypnosis and tried to convince the audience that anything can be suggested to the suggestible mind.

On this episode we talk about the rise of the antivaccination movement in Europe and interview Polish psychologist, science writer and science educator, Tomasz Witkowski, who’s the author of two very important skeptical books on psychology: ‘Psychology Gone Wrong: The Dark Sides of Science and Therapy’ and ‘Psychology Led Astray: Cargo Cult in Science and Therapy’. He is also one of the founders of the Polish Skeptic Club and a member of the organising committee of the 17th European Skeptics Congress that will be held in Wroclaw, Poland in September 2017.

This is a shorter episode with no long interview, but 3 shorter ones, along with the usual run-through of feedback and events across Europe in the coming week. The last run of QED reports is featured on this episode (with Lukasz Sobala, Catherine de Jong and Ralf Neugebauer) and Pontus recorded a short interview with Louise Hansare at Malmö Skeptics in the Pub, talking about sniffer dogs and how much their abilities are exaggerated.
