In Pontus’ absence we talk a bit about EP elections and in TWISH we commemorate the Italian heroine of science and skepticism Margherita Hack. Then it is time to check out the news:
- UK: Zero hour for climate action
- NORTHERN IRELAND: NI Assembly passes motion to ban conversion therapies
- INTERNATIONAL: Edzard Ernst finds SCAM research to be in decline
- INTERNATIONAL: Intervention against misinformation might increase skepticism… against reliable sources, too
The German Jury of Rimowa Design Prize, who awarded a product that is based on nonsense, gets this week’s award for being Really Wrong.
Enjoy!

0:32:05 QUOTE AND FAREWELL
“It’s impossible to scientifically prove either that God exists, or that God does not exist. The idea of God does not convince me. I prefer to believe that there is matter and that matter has the properties we observe. … When I pass away, if I meet God, I will tell him I was wrong.”

0:34:52 OUT-TAKES
It was my first time to listen this.
2 things
1) It’s obvious – at least for me – the skepticism is a double edged sword because the same people with lesser knowledge will be skeptic about science too. As for me I aggree with the Hungarian Szkeptikus társaság with 95% but the rest is my skepticism because I think they overdo that 5% part.
2) “send your death threats” is a LOL 😀
Thanks for your feedback. What is it that the Hungarian Skeptics (or others) overdo in your opinion?
